Cycling Friendly School
Support your pupils through cycling.
Cycling to school brings many positive benefits: keeping children fit and healthy, building their confidence and giving them skills for life.
Our nationally accredited programme provides an award scheme to support schools to make it easier for pupils to cycle, encouraging more sustainable transport choices.
Please note there is currently no Cycling Friendly national grant funding available in 2024-25.
If you would like support to encourage cycling and/or improve cycling facilities in your organisation, please fill out this form. We will keep you updated about any funding/support updates.

Our nationally recognised award accredits the pupils, teachers and volunteers around Scotland committed to increasing cycling in schools. Schools are supported through each step of the process towards becoming Cycling Friendly, from the initial registration to assessment.
Every school in Scotland can take part: all you need is a vision to help more young people enjoy all the benefits that cycling can bring.
Schools across Scotland have been accredited with our Cycling Friendly School award for their commitment to encouraging pupils to cycle.
