Pedal for Scotland Led Rides- perfect for training for the big day
We’ll be adding rides here as they’re announced throughout Spring and Summer so check back regularly. So far we are delighted to present led ride programmes from Cam Glen Bike Town in Rutherglen and Stirling Cycle Hub building up in miles each month until to the big day.
CAMGLEN BIKE TOWN RIDES
Bike Town in Rutherglen is providing monthly training rides to help you build up the miles in preparation for Pedal for Scotland.
Each ride will be 5 miles more than the last and pace will be around 10-15 mph.The route will include on-road cycling, so you should be prepared for some cycling on the roads. Hills are to be expected, but there is no need to sprint up them, they can be tackled at your own pace.

15th August - 40 miles

STIRLING CYCLE HUB RIDES
On the first Sunday* of every month Stirling Cycle Hub will be heading out for two rides, a mountain bike and a road ride, and would love for you all to join them.
The aim is to start the rides easy and build them up in distance each month with the ultimate aim of riding the Glasgow to Edinburgh Classic Challenge ride. By starting with roughly an hour long ride at around 10 mph and building this up each month, come September they reckon all will all find Pedal for Scotland a breeze.
Rides leave from the Stirling Cycle Hub at 10:30am and are free of charge:

1st February - approx 10 miles
1st March - approx 15 miles
12th April - approx 30 miles
3rd May - approx 25 miles
14th June - approx 30 miles
5th July - approx 35 miles
30th August - approx 40 miles
6th September - PEDAL FOR SCOTLAND ride
4th October - approx 40 miles
