LOVE IN THE CYCLE LANE FOR FRESHNLO PEDAL FOR SCOTLAND
Cycling Scotland, organiser of freshnlo Pedal for Scotland is encouraging couples to think alternatively this Valentine’s and give the gift of pedal power.
Early bird discount for freshnlo Pedal for Scotland has been extended until midnight on Saturday 14th February to encourage love birds to ditch the flowers and chocolates and instead, saddle up together and take part in the country’s biggest cycling event on Sunday 6th September.
Starting from Glasgow Green and finishing at Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh, riders can choose from either the Classic 47 mile route or the 110 mile Sportive, and can enjoy an early bird discount of £23 entry for the Classic and £36 entry for the Sportive, valid until midnight on Valentine’s Day.
Riders can also raise money for children and young people affected by poverty in Scotland by taking part on behalf of the event’s official charity partner, the STV Appeal.
Keith Irving, chief executive of event organiser Cycling Scotland said: “This Valentine’s day why not take advantage of our early bird offer and commit to a great day out together at freshnlo Pedal for Scotland. It’s always good to have a friendly face along for the ride and even more fun on a tandem.”
Elizabeth Partyka of the STV Appeal said: “This is our third year as the charity partner for Scotland’s biggest cycling event and we hope even more cyclists get on their bikes and fundraise for the STV Appeal. Pedal for Scotland is a fantastic event for all levels of cyclists and this is a great opportunity to get some exercise and help make a difference to the lives of children in Scotland living in poverty.”
