11 SEPTEMBER 2016 - GLASGOW TO EDINBURGH - 46 & 112 MILES
The Gold Team Challenge gives your team the chance to enjoy either the Classic Challenge or the Big Belter with fantastic extras that will make your Glasgow to Edinburgh ride even more memorable. It’s perfect for corporate teams – a great day out for team-strengthening or choosing to support a great cause like the STV Children’s Appeal!
Starting in Glasgow and finishing at the Royal Highland Centre in Edinburgh, riders can enjoy a host of added benefits including transport and bag transfer, queue jump for catering, VIP finishers marquee, team photos, prizes and more.
Also by taking part, you are supporting the STV Children’s Appeal’s work to combat child poverty in Scotland, as £5 (minus admin fees) of each entry goes to the STV Children’s Appeal. Of course, why stop there – get your team registered on a Just Giving page and raise even more for the STV Children’s Appeal!
NOTE: To enter the Gold Team Challenge, you must have a minimum of 5 on your team. There are limited places available for the Gold Team Challenge – so sign your team up now to avoid missing out.

GROUP ENTRY
Riders must enter the event as a minimum of 5 riders per group. The first participant to register can set up the group, and subsequent entrants can then join this group. Follow the registration process for further instructions.
THE ROUTE
The ride’s huge popularity is due to the combination of a great route (see Classic Challenge and Big Belter, note route subject to change) that is traffic free and the fact that it takes in Scotland’s two largest cities via stunning countryside. It’s the perfect challenge for both regular riders and those who haven’t cycled in a while – a few weeks training is enough to get in shape.
There are rest stops around every ten miles (46-mile Gold Team Challenge) and every 30 miles (112-mile Gold Team Challenge) or so serving free refreshments, taking in the beautiful Scottish countryside, topped off with entertainment and stalls at the Royal Highland Centre in Edinburgh, making for the perfect active day out for groups of friends, family or work mates. Transport can also be booked to get you and your bike to the start at Glasgow Green, or home from the finish line in Edinburgh.
